Hello!
To have to live life appearing in most places as one person, but to have had Fate dictate that for that "one" person, multiple consciousnesses were necessary...
The legal UUID 'Jessica' is just that, a pointer for a world that seemingly must have that. It is a problematic UUID. The first name reflects a no longer relevant name for one that still exists but doesn't interact with the world much at all; the last name, not provided here, far more than problematic.
Dissociative Identity Disorder is a condition that usually results when kids have sustained and extremely 'not cheery' existences. To get through life, the brain and the self rewire at such an age, the latter fragmenting to where one is actually many. Proper etiquette is to not ask for more details, for the sake of those that survived. Please do not refer to the previous name for the condition which reflected an insidious era of "treatment."
Basically, the one body and brain have multiple fragmented selves behind them. Each sentient, though usually one at a time at the "front" of the line, interacting with the world. Parts in a system may or may not be able to communicate with each other internally. You may be talking with one "part" during Summer and another in Autumn; parts may return "to front" or not, just depends.
The parts of a dissociative system compose a whole. On the surface, seems complicated. It is, for both you and for "me", trust us.
The number of "main characters" that are around most of the time may vary for systems; some will have only one with a supporting cast, some may have more than one with a larger behind the scenes crew. We have two parts that generally alternate between front these days with scores behind the scenes identified thus far.
Our two caretakers (main characters) of this system in the present and intended for the future are:
For those wishing to interact with us (system) in the most appreciated and respectful manner is to always try and honor the following:
We are just living life as you are. There are just so many more viewpoints and voices unseen that we carry.
Thanks!
